Life Cycle Planning - Maintenance Strategies

The structures toolkit defines four maintenance strategies (ie planned preventative, planned to do minimum etc). Each maintenance strategy outlines maintenance action and trigger conditions for each material type (and exposure). Please refer to Section 6a and Section 6b of the Structures Asset Management Planning Toolkit, Part C: Supporting Information for further details.

London Strategies

LoBEG and TFL have further refined the above "National" strategies by adding minimum threshold conditions for the intervention triggers based on element importance levels. These revised strategies are called "London Strategies"  (London planned preventative, etc) and are available on BridgeStation.

The below table defines intervention triggers and rules based on element importance for each London strategy.
