BridgeStation Service - No Deal Brexit

With the 31st October 2019 approaching and a potential No Deal Brexit on the horizon we thought it important to give an update on whether this would affect the service your receive from BridgeStation.

We can confirm that we don't anticipate any changes to the BridgeStation service as a result of a no deal Brexit.

We'll continue to monitor any potential regulatory changes that may affect the service we provide.

Version History

The Version History page in the Support menu will show you when your site was last released along with a set of Release Notes for each version. The notes include a list of new features and bug fixes applied.

BridgeStation Account - I've received my password reset link, but it keeps sending me to the Login page

To reset your password you'll need to be able to receive an email from the BridgeStation Support Department.

The email received will include a reset link. This link will work until it is replaced with another link or expires. Take care not to make multiple forgotten password requests as this will generate new links and deactivate the old ones.

If you have made multiple forgotten password or other reset requests you will need to wait for the final email to arrive, the link on that email will work and allow you to reset your password.

BridgeStation Account - I'm trying to reset my password but am not getting the reset email from BridgeStation

To reset your password you'll need to be able to receive an email from the BridgeStation Support Department.

Your IT department might be blocking emails from the BridgeStation Support Department, you'll need to contact them regarding this issue.

Below is a sample paragraph that can be sent to your IT department to assist in resolving this issue.

To whom it may concern.

We provide a web-based asset management system to which the user has access. The user will occasionally need to use our forgotten password function or password reset feature. These automatically send emails to the user's registered email address with links to follow to complete the reset.

From what we can tell the emails are being blocked. Please allow the emails through from no-reply@bridgestation.co.uk. and support@bridgestation.co.uk

I see an alert about my browser not being supported instead of the map

The structure summary page will show your structure's location on a map if the easting and northing coordinates have been provided.

You might see a warning : You are using a browser that is not supported by Google Maps

This warning displays because Google have discontinued support of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) for the Google Maps technology used for that particular map.

You will need to make use of an alternate browser or have Internet Explorer updated to a later version.

BridgeStation Account - I keep getting the 'security answer not correct' message when resetting my password

The security/memorable answer is the final step in resetting a password after a forgotten password request or scheduled password refresh. The Reset Password page displays a Memorable Answer Hint to assist with recall.

The answer is case sensitive. So for the example below if my answer to the question is: Grove Park the following will not be accepted:

Service Summary

BridgeStation Web Edition is web-based bridge management system (BMS) owned by the London Bridges Engineering Group (LoBEG). The BMS and its associated support service are supplied by FSW IT Solutions Limited, who has exclusive rights to develop, maintain and market the system.

To deliver the solution FSW maintains a database server and a file server. Each new installation of BridgeStation gets its own unique database. FSW publish a website to the internet where users can access the application.

BridgeStation isn’t software you need to install. Instead, it runs on the browser you normally use to access web pages on the internet.
Supported Browsers:	For best results we recommend you use the latest version (but not a beta version) of your browser. We support: • Microsoft Edge (PC) • Safari (Mac) • Google Chrome (PC and Mac) • Opera (PC and Mac)

Activating JavaScript:	You’ll have to adjust your settings once for the browser you are using (unless your computer is on a company network that does not have JavaScript enabled by default and your browser settings are regularly reset). If you haven’t changed your browser’s default settings it’s unlikely you’ll need to do this.
Screen Resolution:	Super VGA (1024x768 resolution) or higher with colour quality of at least 256 colours
Install Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight:	Flash and Silverlight are browser add-ons that are used to display some interactive graphs and reports. To see all graphs and reports in BridgeStation, install the Flash player if you haven’t already, or update your Flash player if you have a version that’s earlier than 8.
